Kingdom Women and Youths Empowerment (KWAYE) Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization involved in the transformation of social, economic, psychological, political and legal circumstances of women and youths in Nigeria.
KWAYE Foundation empowers rural women and youths using the bottom-top approach.
OUR MANDATE
Our Mandate is implemented via improved Thematic Processes which are deeply involving and capable of eradicating various social vices that negatively affect Nigerian women and youths. We are involved in the protection of human rights, counselling on the abuse of harmful substance, rehabilitation and reintegration of women and youths who escaped and domestic abuse and survived the ordeal of human trafficking.
KWAYE-Foundation provides skill-acquisition training using our in-house professionals. We also provide micro-credit schemes which empower them for their economic emancipation.
In response to the current situation across the globe and particularly in Nigeria, KWAYE Foundation also has seasoned professionals with practical experience in conflict resolution, peace-building and reintegration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) into the larger society.
The Foundation initiates and coordinates the KWAYE-Cooperative Society which helps to uplift individual family economy through savings and loan system. This is clearly enunciated in our Co-operative By-Law which is available for both reference and detailed information.

MISSION STATEMENT
To stimulate economic growth and protection of women and youths by empowering them with skills, offering microcredit for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) thus upholding, supporting and contributing to the economic emancipation and the universality of human rights of women and youths.
VISION STATEMENT
To contribute to the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Economic Development and Empowerment Sub-Sector as it relates issues affecting women and youths.
WHAT WE DO
1. YOUTH-FRIENDLY SERVICE
The Foundation presently runs a skills-acquisition Centre with over 100 women and youths as beneficiaries. The Vision is to expand our present facility and human resources to continue to provide youths-friendly service. This involves practically testing and counseling our beneficiaries on Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), providing guidance, counseling and legal aids for victims of domestic abuse as well as counseling and rehabilitation of substance abusers.
This thematic approach provides youths-friendly services for both the youths and the women thus offering a more comfortable and sustainable system for them to freely share their problems. Beneficiaries are then referred to our department of skills-acquisition and micro-credit for further assistance. This is done as a proactive measure to reduce charitable support thus enabling our primary beneficiaries to be self-reliant.
2. MICRO CREDIT SCHEME
The Micro Credit Scheme provides loan facilities for SMEs with a 4% interest that is invested in expanding the number of primary beneficiaries (women and youths) using our sister partner organization, the K-Multi Fashion Ltd. The interest-on-loan approach aims to stimulate and motivate beneficiaries to pursue businesses supported by the scheme with vigour.
Beneficiaries are grouped into clusters which are headed by Cluster Heads. The Heads make collections and retirements of loans returns on a weekly basis with interests spread out for six weeks. However, the spread period for repayments is determined by the amount given.
The MCS thematic approach of KWAYE-Foundation has also adopted a method of mentorship. In this regard, every member and/or beneficiaries in the category must start with a low amount, and if they meet the repayments requirements, would then gradually advance to higher categories. With this, the scheme provides loans for petty traders to start a small business while for the youth category, skills are developed and start-up equipment are provided to participants on hire-purchase loans.
3. KWAYE-COOPERATIVE
KWAYE-Cooperative provides a flexible system of savings for members in the form of rotational benefits by members. It also provides the legal system of a Co-operative Society that accepts savings from members for 4 months and then allow eligible members to borrow twice their savings on a 7% interest.
However, every beneficiary of the MCS must also subscribe to the cooperative program for personal profits as a means to expand their businesses. This is clearly spelt out in our Cooperative By-Law which also gives details on the type of loans available.
4. HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION
The protection of the human rights of vulnerable persons such as women and the youths is one of the key areas of our specialization. Women's rights are human rights. Amidst youths and women marginalization in governance and other societal policies in which they are majority, the protection and orientation regarding these rights are vital for improved democratic participation.
This is designed to be achieved through seminars on civic rights and responsibilities of citizens. We also have developed in-house mechanism to refer cases to our legal partner organizations for further advice on appropriate litigation where necessary.
5. AGRICULTURAL TRAINING
Through KWAYE Foundation Agriculture Training Program, the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of areas such as bee-keeping, cattle ranching, swine rearing, fishery, field crops and sheep farm placement, is provided for the beneficiaries. We also provide consultancy on agricultural-based finance for our trainees.
In the same vein, KWAYE Foundation works closely with Agricultural Extension Agencies in Nigeria and overseas to create opportunities which help to expose participants to other high-level sophisticated training programs, modern agricultural facilities management and equipment handling.
Particularly, we collaborate with international partners to implement the vision of giving young adults the opportunity to experience the world through agricultural exchange visits, while also providing opportunities for rural families working with the Local Governments to experience other cultures and traditions, resulting in life-long friendships and social interactions.
6. CONFLICT RESOLUTION
KWAYE Foundation has an array of seasoned experts experienced in the area of Conflict Resolution and Peace-Building. Given the current global trends, the Foundation partners with international and local organizations in this regard with the main objective of bringing peace to troubled communities as well as provide counsel and guidance to internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as well as victims of insurgency and war.
The major aim for this approach is to systematically and gradually reintegrate the IDPs into the larger society. In addition, the Foundation provides micro-credit and financial support to women and youths in IDP Camps across Nigeria thus enabling them to establish SMEs with the support of local and international partners.
7. PRODUCTS EXHIBITIONS
KWAYE Foundation participated and show-cased its products in exhibitions held in South Africa during the Global Business Round Table World Congress in 2016. Similarly, our products were also exhibited in Bangladesh during the National Defense College Officers' Wives Association Meeting.
Currently and as a result of high global demand, we have just shipped a large consignment of our products to Indonesia. In the same vein, we are vigorously making contacts with our global clienteles to reach other countries.
8. DONATION
KWAYE- Foundation accepts donations and grants from individuals, partners and member organizations. Donors can contribute through the dedicated Website of the Foundation or by collecting our Donation Form either electronically or by visiting our Head Office.
